  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, access controls, encryption mechanisms, or rate limits

4. Resource Usage

  • Use the Services in a manner consistent with their intended purpose
  • Do not engage in activities designed to consume excessive resources, circumvent usage limits, or degrade service quality for other customers
  • Automated or programmatic access must comply with published API documentation and rate limits

5. Enforcement

ASTIS reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and applicable law. If we determine that a violation has occurred — or where we are required to act for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons — we may take action including:

  • Issuing a warning
  • Rate-limiting, suspending, or restricting access to the Services
  • Terminating your account
  • Blocking specific email addresses, domains, IP ranges, or organizations from accessing the Services, including for sanctions compliance, legal obligations, repeated abuse, or sustained traffic patterns inconsistent with permitted use
  • Withholding ciphertext, audit records, or other artifacts where required by law or court order
  • Reporting violations to law enforcement where required or appropriate

Sanctions and restricted parties: ASTIS will not provide Services to individuals or entities located in, or owned or controlled by parties in, jurisdictions subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, or to persons on restricted-party lists (US OFAC SDN, EU Consolidated, UK OFSI, UN). Accounts or domains identified as restricted may be blocked without prior notice; prepaid amounts for blocked accounts may be forfeited per applicable law.

Where feasible, we will attempt to notify you before taking enforcement action, except in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect the Services, other users, or comply with legal obligations.

Appeals: If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting [email protected] with details of the action and the basis for your appeal. ASTIS will review appeals in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Appeals do not apply to blocking required by sanctions or law enforcement.

6. Risk-Based Decline

In addition to enforcement under Section 5, ASTIS may decline or discontinue the Services on a risk basis as provided in Section 11.3 of the Terms of Service, including for:

  • (i) prospective or existing Customers operating in sectors or jurisdictions for which ASTIS has elected not to provide Services as a business decision;
  • (ii) Customers whose beneficial ownership, key personnel, or business model presents elevated legal, regulatory, financial, or reputational risk;
  • (iii) Customers identified through periodic sanctions or adverse-media screening;
  • (iv) Customers whose payment processor or banking provider has declined or terminated service to or in respect of the Customer;
  • (v) Customers whose use poses an unacceptable risk to ASTIS, other Customers, or third parties, as reasonably determined by ASTIS.

Decisions under this Section are not deemed a breach of the Terms by either party. Where ASTIS declines under this Section for reasons other than sanctions, abuse, or law enforcement, ASTIS will provide a prorated refund for unused prepaid amounts as provided in Section 11.4 of the Terms of Service. Where the decline is sanctions-based, abuse-based, or required by law, prepaid amounts are non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to [email protected].

8. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
